Creating
A New Reality For All

To be able to recognize a new
reality as it becomes manifest requires each of us to re-assess for value, and
with absolute honesty, our existing reality. One of the dictionary definitions
of the word ‘reality’ is, ” The state of things as they are or appear to be, rather than as one
might wish them to be” The operative words in that definition are ‘or appear to be’ because
this suggests that reality could appear to be very different to the wishes of
each and every member of mankind. Equally the content of those wishes would
differ from member to member. Next we need to know if it is possible to alter
our present reality so that the state of things are as near as possible as
one-and-all might wish them to be? The answer is a definite ‘Yes’, and this is
where that re-assessment of our present reality enters the scene because we
have to also re-assess for value what through action or inaction each of us has
contributed towards the creation of our present reality. Oh yes, we all help to
create the reality in which we exist even though we may prefer to believe that
that reality has been foisted upon us.
Wishes in common
The content of Mankind’s wishes
widely varies from member to member and so we need to concentrate upon the
content of what are Mankind’s mutually shared wishes, and also why those wishes
always fail to be fulfilled. For example the majority of Mankind wishes to live
in peace, and to live their lives in cooperation with and of non-interference
with and of others. Instead we still allow ourselves to be drawn into fighting
vicious, pointless wars where sanitized phrases such as ‘ethnic cleansing’ and
‘acceptable collateral damage’ are used to disguise 21st century
versions of the WW2 Nazi holocaust, and the deaths of many civilian bystanders
as a by-product of TV camera-targeted, state-of-the-art precision bombing.
Another disgusting aspect of war is that a nation’s patriotic fervour is always
manipulated and used to disguise and hide the real (usually based in greed)
motives for making war upon other nations. Those with vested interests that do
the manipulating seldom if ever actually fight in those wars. Now here we have
a clue as to why those wishes are not fulfilled. Who is at fault, the
manipulators or the manipulated, or both?
Passing through
In very similar ways to each other every member of mankind enters and then later on leaves physical existence, we arrive with no knowledge and we leave with only what we have learnt during our long or short lifespan. In between those entrances and exits from childhood onwards we find ourselves swamped and engulfed by the religions, thoughts, beliefs, ideas, and mores of the society into which we are born. Each individual human is lovingly pressured by those around him or her to conform to the accepted status quo, and it is the accepted status quo that is regarded by the majority as the only possible reality. So next we must ask who actually decides what is to be society’s accepted status quo, do those who lead the majority decide it, or, does the majority decide it? Strangely and dismayingly in a democracy it is those who lead that decide, and not, as one might have expected, the result of a majority decision. To make sense the reasons why this ridiculous situation exists need to be explored.
I’m just this guy you know
Very few members of Mankind ever
aspire to leadership of self let alone the leadership of other people. Within
most aspects of their daily lives the great majority of people seem to prefer
to be led by other people. This is a preference that manifests itself on the
subconscious level, or non-thinking mind/ego level of the individual. The
preference is reinforced by the ongoing pressure on the individual to conform
to the accepted status quo of society. As a result we tend to feel the need to
trust the judgement of those that lead us in preference to trusting our selves.
For example, in matters of health because we know and trust the expertise,
motives and judgement of our local doctor we feel we also have to choose to
trust the expertise, judgement and the motives of the pharmaceutical companies
that make and supply the drugs prescribed by the doctor. Always the pressure is
there to not probe, and to not cause delays to the doctor and to the other patients
by asking and demanding answers to awkward questions about the ingredients and
possible side-effects, and very high prices of the prescribed mass-produced
drugs.
We allow this same pressure towards unthinking, unquestioning and passive acceptance to rule our lives. We never demand to know why media people tightly focus our attention, fears and emotions upon this aspect instead of that aspect of current events instead of offering balanced, unbiased viewpoints to enable their readers’ or TV viewers’ to form their own opinions. We are encouraged by our leaders to expect as the norm a civilized level of lifestyle but we never demand to know why public services such as providers of domestic gas, electricity, and water, sewage and garbage disposal, and telephones have to make ever-increasing profits from domestic consumers. After all these services have become integral to achieving that accepted normal lifestyle. Similarly, with our leaders supposedly guided by highly-paid top economic experts, we never demand to know why an inflation spiral is allowed to continue to exist, and why pension, wage and salary levels always lag far behind the ever-rising current cost of living level.
Born to be milked
Passively and without query as to how it will be used we all accept that each current government will tax every penny we earn and then tax every penny we spend. As a result for the great majority of people, reality consists of competing in an endless and ruthless competition that it is impossible to win. The great majority exists only to be milked, just like a herd of unthinking cows, by their leaders, trendsetters, media, and professional manipulators of public opinion. From all of the foregoing the readers might get the impression that we may regard the great majority of people as trapped and helpless victims. No we do not, because there are no victims, there are only countless individuals that choose to remain silent when they could, as individuals, demand an accounting from those that continuously milk them.
We are born into physical existence
individually. We depart from physical existence individually. What ever
happened to our individuality in between those two events? Maybe you have
religious or spiritual beliefs or maybe you don’t, but you cannot deny your
priceless individuality. Regardless of whether mankind is made up of billions
or trillions of members, nowhere are there duplicates of you you are unique.
Vast memory banks of fingerprints and DNA samples exist to demonstrate our
unrepeated individuality, and so now it is time to consciously acknowledge our
individual uniqueness, but how?
Re-evaluation of self
To achieve this requires each of us to upgrade our opinion of self. The widespread and encouraged tendency is to devalue self and to compare self as better or worse, and more or less intelligent than others. We have always allowed ourselves to be intimidated by experts who supposedly know more than we do. It is no surprise that these experts, leaders, and manipulators of minds feel entitled to regard the rest of us as a flock of unthinking, mindless sheep. This negative situation will continue until each of us proudly takes on the mantle of our individual uniqueness. Only then will, “Someone should do something about this” be transmuted into, “I’m going to do something about this” It is so simple but it takes courage and a belief in the high value of yourself and your thoughts, wishes, and opinions, regardless of those of others. No I’m not suggesting that you join this or that protest organization. All that will do is repeat the ‘them and us’ situation that has never achieved anything. No this takes personal courage to voice or write letters stating clearly your opinions when faced with unfairness in its many forms. It requires you to leave the dubious safety of the crowd scene without waiting for others to leave it before you.
Imagine how Reality would change for the better if the great majority of
mankind was entirely made up of individuals who honoured protected and
cherished their individual uniqueness. We would still need leaders but they
would feel privileged to lead us. The revaluing of self has to start somewhere so why
not with you?
